Day 133/365 - Ignoring the Prompt

I ignored the prompt today. Not because I didn't like it or I couldn't think of anything, but because I already had a creative triumph for the week and wanted to share it.

I found a way to save the church where I work, hundreds of dollars a year by building a new website on a different service. It had been hosted before with a company that specializes in church websites, but doesn't give a lot of options and overcharges just because they think folks aren't tech savvy enough to fight them on it.

I suppose not every church has someone like me and it may be their only option, but I'm pretty proud of the finished product. Please check it out and let me know what you think!

The video was made as a suggestion from our pastor, who thought it would be a good way to announce the new and improved website to the congregation. He wanted a way to point out the features to our aging congregation and where to find things on the website. This video was showed during the announcements this morning and it got great reviews.

This was my first attempt at making a training video. I wrote a script, working through each page on the menu bar. I started by creating the photos, then added the arrows. I used a free service called EZVid (https://www.ezvid.com/)  to make the video. It was a great service for something like this. It allows you to add photos, choose background music, change the slide duration and record narration. It was actually pretty fun to put together and I was thrilled with the outcome.
