Day 62/365 - Don't Play With Your Food
I know what you're thinking. What am I looking at? I had such a good idea for this prompt.
Fridays in our house are often a fend-for-yourself sort of deal. I usually work late, my husband has been volunteering all week at school, and the oldest kids have practices at the local rec center. You grab what you can and eat as quickly as possible.
After we got the kids to practice, I raided the fridge for leftovers, all the while thinking about the prompt. Then I saw the last of the tuna salad my husband made two days ago and I saw the bag of rice cakes. (Did you catch the collaboration there?)
Anyway, long story short, I thought I'd be clever and make a fish shape out of the tuna salad on the rice cake, but I didn't consider the how similar the colors were. But I promise, there is a shape of a fish in the picture.
And it was delicious, and paired nicely with the glass of wine I served for surviving the day.
