Day 15 - Dollar Bill, Y'all!
Today's project took way longer than I thought it would, but thankfully, I didn't start at 7:00 at night, like I have to most days. And the idea came pretty quickly of how to make the prompt fit in with my medium choice.
Back to the internet to find just what I needed. A quick search brought exactly what I needed.
So all I had to do was find an actual dollar bill and try to find the best color match from my 120 box of crayons. And how to get the duplex to print and line up properly. Once all was said and done, I got it printed, colored and cut out to almost exact dimensions. Which was necessary for the next step.
I tried a small origami project earlier this month, and I really enjoyed it. So much, in fact, that I may choose to try small origami projects for one of my months. I've always enjoyed seeing dollar bill origami, so now I had my own homemade $1. Another quick internet search found an easy instruction guide for the fun heart I finally made. (http://www.origami-resource-center.com/money-valentine.html) Of course I didn't want to screw up the one I already colored, so I practiced with a real dollar bill first.
When all was said and done, it ended up taking me about two hours, but it's cold here in Central Ohio and there was nothing really else to do. And the finished project still put a smile on my face.
